What I am Up To

So, in this time of being a newly wed without children, I have decided to try out all te things I want to do before I have kids and don't have time or energy. Plus, I figure if I try things out, get good at them and make them habit now, it'll be easier when I do have the kids.

So, you've seen the candle remaking post, and the new recipes I try. I'm good at those at this point do I've taken on a few new challenges.

1. Homemade laundry soap. I was hesitant at first but have a few friends who did it and now, it's my project for next week. I've collected the supplies, mostly, and cant wait to try it out!

2. Honing my sewing skills. I've made the heating and cooling rice bags (with lavender oil added too!) and stuffed animals, so I'm working on some baby. Clothes at the moment. Not for me, but I have a bunch of pregnant friends as am using them as guinea pigs. Nice huh?

3. Emergency Prep. I've got a decent food storage collection that I rotate so I am adding to it, finishing out the emergency car packs and the emergency binders. I'm almost done putting everything on CD's and making copies of important documents and pictures.

So, the next two weeks that is what I am working on. Watch for posts on those.
