Are You Prepared?

In the last 3 or 4 months I have felt the need to be prepared. So I started taking stock of what I have and creating my 24 hr, 72 hr and in great hopes working on my 1 month, emergency preparedness kits. I have started buying the staples of food in bulk with a roommate, splitting up large cases of things like tuna and creating our kits. It is oddly comforting to know that if something happens, I am ready. I have enough food to last about 3o days (well, I could eat for 30 days, but it would be VERY repetitious at the moment) and I working on batteries now.

I have seen some interesting "kits" available, anyone tried one?

Good for you!

We just bought 30 lbs of dried beans. Does this count. I'm scared because I live with boys and if we have to eat 'em.... well, you know what that means.
