So, from a friend I got the acronym of I.H.I.P. It has proven a great way for me to make and keep goals. Let me share with you what I.H.I.P stands for.
I- individualized
H- Happiness
I- Improvement
P-Program
There are four main headings in the program for me:
1. Increase Wisdom
2. Physical Health
3. Better Friends of Better Quality
4. Relationship with God
Then, it is individualized to include as many or as few goals as you have under each heading. Here is a sampling of my goals for the year:
1. Increase Wisdom - Read 1 biography every three months, Memorize "The Living Christ"
2. Physical Health - Sleep 7 1/2 hrs a night (this is hard!), run in my first 5k this spring
3. Better Friends of Better Quality - serve my friends, have sincere desire to know more about my friends
4. Relationship with God - More sincere prayers, do visiting teaching!
This has been a great way for me to be able to break up and make my goals more real to me. My biggest goal this year is to be the best me. I want to do things that maybe a little scary but that would be good for me. I am well on my way.
