In an effort to save money and get more veggies in our diet I started getting Bountiful Baskets again. I live the variety and that it makes me think outside of my regular meals to use what I got. This weeks basket is awesome!
We received:
1 pineapple
1 seedless watermelon
5 oranges
6 bananas
A large bag of about 35 brussel sprouts
4 stalks of broccoli
1 head of cauliflower
A package of mushrooms
3 tomatoes
2 avocados
And 3 large bunches of romaine lettuce
What a great week in produce we have! I can't wait to eat brussel sprouts!

What exactly are these bountiful baskets? I want one. I've heard at least 4 different people talking about them in the past week.
google bountiful baskets. I got all that fresh produce (local in season, from smaller farms in other parts of the world in the off season) for $15. we get one each week and eat mainly off that. We add in some meat and grains but mostly, it's just from the basket. You get interesting stuff sometimes and you can get a lot of some things (romaine this week!). We share the extra we know we can't eat before it will go bad with family and friends. There may be one in your area, or, you can opt to be an area rep and start one. all the info is on the website. Move back west, they are everywhere!
