Evening Walks

It's been cool enough in the evenings that Jared and I are able to go on our walks again. It's been so fun to be able to explore our neighborhood and the ones around us. We look at houses for sale and discuss what we like and don't, we talk about our jobs, our families and our future family. We talk and walk.

We spent a lot of our dating week and engagement walking or jogging. Its been so hot that we haven't been able to do that as much we like in the summer because of our schedules. I have missed it and I am so grateful to have it be nice again.

We are planning our honeymoon and are loving that we decided to take one a year later. I love my husband more with every passing day and I am so much more sure that I made the right choice to marry him. As scared as people have been for and about us, we are happy. There are ups and downs but there are in any relationship.

The Gift

I am the luckiest girl ever! My sweet husband picked up a new camera for me today. He said we had been to visit it one to many times at the store, it was time we just brought it home. Luckiest girl ever!

Girls Night, Interupted

So we had a girls night. 5 of us friends went out to dinner at Texas Road House and enjoyed every minute of it. My new low carb lifestyle was decently handled by ordering salmon and a salad with no dressing. I had one bite of the rolls I got and brought the rest home to Jared. Yummy!

Then we decided to go bowling. Which was awesome. One of the girls bailed on us so Jared came along. We had a blast! Not to mention that we won some free bowling. So nice!

I have been so busy lately that I forgot how fun it can be to be able to just laugh with your friends and act goofy. I needed that so much!

One Year Ago

I was single. I woke up and was sure I had a long time before I wasn't.

One year ago today, I went on a date with Jared. Our first date. We fell in love under the fireworks.

One year ago today my life was forever changed. I am so happy and grateful it did. I love Jared so much and I couldn't be more sure that I made the right choice to get engaged to be married after 6 short days.

Jared brought my 2 dozen roses as a gift to celebrate. Aren't they beautiful? I got the greatest guy in the whole
World. Here is to another year of happiness.

Happy 4th!

We spent today (so far) enjoying regular 4th activities. A parade, snowcones and my nephews all star baseball game! His team won and he did great!

I spent lots of time with B and Lil'C today and I love it. They are so much fun to be with. And look at Big C out there playing baseball...I got great nieces and nephews.

I love the 4th and all the fun that goes with it. I'm sure there is more to come.

First Fireworks of the Season

We enjoyed the first fireworks of the season last night. We have a soft spot for fireworks an often joke that we fell in love during fireworks. It was at fireworks on the 4th of July that we both realized that we really liked each other and really wanted to spend a lot of time together. So, fireworks are special to us.

We loved being able to share them friends. After a giant pizza feast on the front lawn we piled in the back of the truck and headed out. I love the little ones and we like the big kids too.

There is lots of fireworks in our future this summer and I can't wait.
