Wow

Lots has happened since the last post, in fact way too much to begin to tell you about tonight so I will just give you a piece or two until I have time. Maybe tomorrow.

I am pretty much moved in. Wow, it is so hard to move. I don't know why I thought it would be such a good idea. Oh well, it is done now and I really enjoy it. Love the new place and decorating...wow! I love it! I'll post before and afters when I am done.

Our big temple day was scheduled on Saturday and I started heading down there only to begin puking at a stop light in a car full of girls. It wasn't even my car and I totally couldn't get the door open before the next stop and managed to get the door in my next spewing. How sad! I managed to get to Provo and my sweet sister took time out of her Saturday to bring me back home since I hadn't driven. I then took a wonderful 5 hour nap...it was heaven to a sick me. Feeling lots better now but vomiting was gross. I hadn't done that in years.

On Sunday I got an Easter gift...a cat. Not really traditional, but what I managed to get. In fact it wasn't even for me specifically but the cat latched onto me and I can't get rid of her. I am not an animal person so this will be interesting.

This is the pretty Gayla. I am most definitely not a cat person, but we will see what happens. I will keep you updated.

And I am hosting a shoe party this Friday night. That is right, a shoe party. Think Tupperware but with shoes! Super cute and good prices, I can't wait! If you are in the area and want to come for an hour of shoe goodness, let me know! I will give you details and you will love it. Plus you can get a sneak peek at the new house, now who doesn't want that? haha!

Moved..Sort Of

Well, the majority of my stuff is moved. Thank you to Logan, Tricia, Danny and Melinda. I could not have done it without them. I still have stuff to do (mostly kitchen stuff) at the old place but this is the first night here in the new place. I am exhausted. I don't know if I can handle it.

I hate moving.

Right Around the Corner

Ok, so excuse me for a few days. I have so much going on that I just don't have the time to blog.

Tomorrow is the big move and I am stressing. It will be fine but you know what it is like to move.

Saturday is our big temple day...so I have a lot going on with that.

Not to mention the other bits and pieces. So please, excuse me. It isn't that I don't love you guys...or don't have things to say, you will know that I did when I have 5 million posts next week. Or, I may post before that. You just never know.

But excuse me anyway. I will return.

PS: Don't forget to visit Modern Eclectics...I have posts up everyday there and have scheduled enough to last as long as I am gone. Some pretty cool stuff too.

Ick

I hate packing. Hate it. I love being moved, but the moving part, you know boxing stuff up and loading and unloading it, I hate.

Am I done yet?

Room #1- Craft Room

Yep, the time has come to start sharing the new decor of the new house. I have a craft room and it is amazing. TONS of storage and an amazing walk in closet for storage of all my craft pieces. I am so excited about this room. There will also be a bed in the room so that it can double as a guest bedroom, but I am doing the whole daybed thing so it is more like a couch in there. But I have my first piece to add to this great room.

I was given this gem because it made someone think of me. Which kind of confused me at first, cause I am not really a tea cup kind of girl, but then after thinking about it...it is me. A very eclectic piece that I am just dying to build off of. So, that is obviously going to be the focal point of the room, now I am just trying to find great other inspiring pieces to add to the room. Some suggested an Alice in Wonderland Theme, but I am not really sold on that at all. But, we'll see.

Stay tuned for more bits and pieces. There will be lots more.

Good Morning!

Today was our RS Birthday Celebration! Hilary Weeks came and spoke and sang and it was a very touching morning. A great way to spend a Saturday morning. Afterward we got to enjoy this very spring-y table and meal. There is just something about pink and green that I love. And the blackberry butter was amazing!

All in all it was a great day. Now it is home to do more packing. Ah, the joys of moving!

The News

I am sorry I didn't get back to you guys sooner. Life gets hectic...or at least my life gets hectic. I am sure that some of you will be disappointed with the news...but just wait a little longer. I may have more news.

So, I applied for and got this amazing job. And when I say amazing, I mean amazing. I was praying so hard for the job to work out and last week I was offered the job! I was so excited. I took a few days to double check and pray about it but I accepted the job yesterday.

So, what is this new job you ask? Let me tell you.

I am a personal assistant to a doctor who travels all over the country speaking at conferences. Which is cool, but not the best part. I will being taking care of running her home and schedules and such. Which is one of my fortes. I am excellent at scheduling and organizing people's lives.

Part of the job is that I will have a wonderful new home! Rent and utilities is part of the compensation. What a blessing! I can not even tell you what a blessing it is. This wonderful job allows me to live on my own. That is right friends...no roommates! I am so excited by that wonderful opportunity. Plus, let us not forget that ability to decorate! Clean slate and I pick the colors, furniture and all of the bits and pieces. I am so excited.

I will travel with her as needed and get a chance to see and do a lot as a part of that. While she is "working" I get to sight-see and enjoy things. I am excited by the prospect. So be watching for me to be coming to your home town!

This will give me a couple of other amazing benefits, let me list a few of them for you:

A studio in the house that will serve as a childrens yoga studio. I am excited to be teaching.

Money for school, I am almost done and am finally ready to go back. This job will allow me to finish up and not have so much stress over finances.

I am still in Ogden, just further south than I currently am. Which is wonderful, I really enjoy Ogden, oddly. Plus it keeps me close to friends.

I know that my prayers were answered. It was an incredibly long road to get to this point, but I am always blessed if I just keep trying my hardest and working hard. I am always given amazing blessings and exactly the ones I need.

So, I will be packing and moving in the next few weeks. So, I will be sure to take lots of pictures and post them as I get the chance. So if I am not around so much in the next few weeks, that is the reason.
