I am sorry for the absence lately...it has been a crazy few days. I had an allergic reaction to some medication (ick!), got food poisoning from Olive Garden (double ick!) and there was a serious accident.
On Thursday night two guys were running from the police and ran a red light and t-boned a car here in town. One of the passengers, Blake, was in my ward and was a friend. Both people in the t-boned car were declared dead on the scene. The other passenger was a friend of my friend Cassie. The two running from the police, minor injuries. It has been a crazy couple of days in dealing with this in general. I was not nearly as close to him as others were but as a ward we grieve the loss of a member who was 19 and waiting to see where he would serve his mission. It reminded me that you never know when things will end and that you need to take advantage of the time you have.
Thank you to all of my dear friends for the moments you have made my life amazing.

I am so sorry, Nikki. We, too have had a "subtle" reminders here and there lately. Just Saturday our elderly neighbor's wife committed suicide. These are the people who every day we waved goodbye to as they dove off while we were at the bus stop. Such sweet neighbors. Life is precious.
