Real Love

Today I spent my afternoon making snowmen, doing yoga and singing Christmas songs. I got a million hugs today. I had three people tell me that I looked great, and found out that out of everyone in the gym, I lost the most weight out of everyone in six months. That includes all members and employees.
I tried on things that had been sitting in my closet for years, that haven't fit and was happy to find some that hadn't fit in 5 years fit and some that I just missed and now are too big all together.
Today I had two people ask me to spend the holidays with them.
I had dinner with my dear friend Tricia, got a message from Liz J., heard from a ton of my old school Prescott friends including my best friends from High School, Beverly, Jason and Alicia.
Today, I remembered what it is like to be really loved. Unconditionally, faults and all loved. That is what the season is about. It is about remembering what is important and why. It is feeling close the ones you love and knowing that no matter what, they love you back. Thank you my dear friends, for reminding me.

Ginger Ale

I have been craving Ginger Ale. I don't know why, I just have. So I grabbed some while I was out and about it was exactly what I wanted! While enjoying a fulfilled craving I was suddenly reminded of all the random ginger ale experiences in my life. Yeah, I know, that they are many of these things is interesting in and of its self is entertaining.
I remember my dad getting ginger ale for my mom when we lived in Oregon. Just for my mom. The kids didn't get any. I think that was when I decided I like it. I had a Ginger ale fetish in high school during one of the many musicals I did, I want to say it was Annie, but it very well may have been Lil' Abner. I remembered a particular night with Mary and running red lights, on purpose I might add. Not our finest moment, but a moment none the less. And a birthday party of one of my best friends, Jessica with raspberries and ginger ale. So yummy!
For some reason this lightly flavored carbonated beverage has been a constant in my life. I enjoy it. Ginger Ale makes me happy.

Out with the Old, in with the...Old?

In the last few weeks I have been surrounded by tons of old high school and friends from various places I have lived, finding me online. Back in the day the internet was not as big a deal and I didn't keep up with many of them to but to have found some after all these years is kind of fun. But what do you say to someone that you were friends with in high school but haven't talked to in 12 years? hm? Yeah, I have no idea.

And friends from NC and SD have looked me up as well. It has been fun to chat with old friends and see where their lives have taken them.

I have been busy in the last week or so, so many things to do. Oddly good news is that the hormones I have been taking for my PCOS have worked (so far)! Which is great news. It means that I can start on my regular regimen soon and be close to normal. A blessing that I can not even begin to tell you how much it means to me.

A friend from last summer just came back to town this last week and it was fun to see him and chat with him a little. It is fun to have friends around. And seeing as all my friends (minus a slim few) are getting married and moving, I am very ok with having old friends come back.

Well, off to bed with me. The medicine kicked in and I feel much better now. So, sweet dreams and wonderful days my friends.
