Surprise

I have some great friends! They had an impromptu surprise party for me. Showing up at my house with a cake and candles was such a surprise. It was awesome. I felt so loved. Courtney, Rashago and Tony totally made my day!

Graced with a $25 itunes card...which is exactly what I wanted! Don't mind the hair in this pic...it was the end of the day and it looks crazy weird.

Photobooth

Remember that I said my roommate Courtney and I tried out some photo booth's at the bridal show this weekend? Well, here is the evidence. I love the idea of a photo booth at a wedding or party! Hm...

On Saturday my roommate and I went to a bridal show in SLC, and it was amazing! We saw a bridal fashion show, from flower girls, bridesmaids and wedding dresses. It was wonderful to just enjoy that. And then at the end there was drawing for prizes and guess who won a $50 gift card to Bed, Bath and Beyond? Yep, yours truly!

How beautiful is the room for the fashion show? I love it.

Check out this amazing display of food that we got to try! Ah, it was so wonderful and such good food! From coconut shrimp in a mango salsa, to steak stuffed with mushrooms and some amazing pesto type stuff to ravioli's, it was amazing!

And, this. This was heaven. Raspberry truffle cake, red velvet cherry cakes, and coconut cream puffs...and so much more! I can't even tell you how great it was to sample all kinds of amazing foods!

And while I am not really an ice sculpture kind of girl, these were very cool.

We saw some totally fun stuff and had a lot of fun! Even got to try a couple photo booths! What a great way to spend an afternoon and all it cost us was the $5 in gas it took to get us to SLC! So, really, after everything, I came up up about $75-$80 dollars.

Ah, a great day!

Ah, Cold

It is super cold in Utah right now. And I mean cold. It is 8 degrees outside and it is supposed to get colder still. Gotta love the cold, right?

It has been a crazy week, full of changes and friends and work...lots of stuff. Courtney, my new roommate moved in this week and I am loving it. We did some heavy cleaning and redecorating. A new start for the house and I am happy about it.

Also, I am starting my training this week to run in a 5k this spring. I am so oddly excited! I just have this burning desire to do it, so I am. :)

Just watch, this year is going to hold a lot of surprises for me. Including some amazing hair! Check out the natural curl...some days it just loves the curls. Thanks for that Dad.

New Years Eve

Happy New Year! I am very happy to "bang in" the new year. 2009 is going to be a good year. I feel it.

So some friends and I got together for new years and these are just the few pictures off my camera. Tricia has a bunch on hers that have me in them, so maybe I will update the blog later with pictures from her camera. But for now, here are mine.

Courtney and Tony in our heated game of Imaginiff..

Tricia doing what she always does, taking pictures. Just like me. I love this girl!

Ah, me...

We beat the new year in with anything we could get our hands on

Getting ready to watch the ball drop and the pound in the new year. Only one spoon was broken in this lovely tradition.

We had great food, pineapple peach salsa, starbursts, homemade apple cider and played some great games, Imaginiff, Ultimate spoons and just had fun ringing in the new year with friends. Hope your New Years Eve was as fun as mine was!

Changes

Well, sadly my roommate Ashley is moving out. I will miss her. She is like family to me and it is hard to realize that she is leaving me. But, life happens and she needs to go.

But, that leaves an open room and that means that my friend Courtney can move in! I am excited for that. We have lots of fun together and I feel really good about her moving in. It means some rearranging and some changes, but I am happy to make them.

I have a feeling that things are about to change. You may see some new faces and less of ones you have seen in the past. Some will stick around though. Just wait and see.

Only a few more days till Christmas...hope you are ready!

Sunday Night

So, like I promised, pictures from Sunday Night. Enjoy!

The choir at the devotional, so much fun! Look in the section on the left, and you can see my Tricia friend.

From left to right: Lono, Me, Courtney and Rashago

After the devotional we headed out to check out the lights, how beautiful!

Haha, we are so silly! I love Courtney's face, too funny to me!

Lono and Rashago, two totally great and cute guys that I get to call friends.

Ok, I really love this picture! Aren't we totally cute? I love Courtney, she is so cute.

We had so much fun! It was totally what I needed after a long and tearful day.

Lono held my bag for me, but he looked way too natural! We laughed so hard!

We are so silly, but I really enjoyed myself. I have some great friends and I am just so blessed!

This was the best, Lono jumping off the fountain caught in just the right moment!

Now, this is the money shot. I took this amazing picture, I just love the way the light hit and his expression...I am silly, I know.

The End of the Weekend

Last night my friends Lono, Rashago, Courtney and I went to SLC to the First Presidency Christmas Devotional. It was such a good way to get into the spirit of the season. It was Lono's first time seeing the choir live and he was so excited. I was so happy to have him come and enjoy it with me. Thanks to Tricia for the tickets...she is the best!

Pictures are coming, so this is just some warm up...

The best part of this video is that after we took it, we realized that the nativity was actually Mongolian, not hispanic! haha!
