Home, for Real

Isn't it funny how some place can begin to feel like home? UT feels like home to me. Especially after the trip to Iowa to see my family. I love the family, but UT is home and I could hardly wait to get back.

The trip home was crazy...I got searched and my bags did too and then my flight was late leaving which gave me 15 minutes to try to make my connection at the other end of the airport. So I ran the whole way and made it just as they were going to close the door. Lady Luck was on my side. The winds were crazy and it made the first flight a bumpy one and I did not feel so great. The second one was ok after we got up into the air.

As we flew over the mountains I began to get the feeling of being home. It was so great to fly over Ogden and see the school and where my house is. I could hardly wait to get there.

I started my internship today and it will be crazy and wonderful! I have my own little office and I love it! It will take a lot of work but it will be awesome. It is what I want to be doing and I love that. And, added bonus, I get to go to the new employee training that is held at the begining of June! You have no idea how thrilling that is to me! It is like your mom telling you as a kid that you can have ice cream for breakfast!

I got an email from one of very best friends today. Jason and I have been friends forever. We have kept in touch over the years and today I got an email from him and I suddenly remembered how much fun we used to have and how great he was for me. I love old friends. I loved hearing about his wife and two girls. They are all so cute! I realized how much he affected my life and how much I have changed since we last saw each other. Old friends are great and I love to hear from them and I love to reconnect.

Wow

Well I did arrive in Iowa safe and mostly sound. The last connection was on those oh-so-wonderful propeller planes, so my stomache was not completely fond of me at the end of the trip. But I did get here and I am fine!
Not long after getting here we piled into the car and headed to Sioux Falls for the first reception. It was entertaining. I got to see my good friend who gets married in a few weeks so it was fun for me.
I have enjoyed being with my family so far. It has been great. The picture I am posting with this is of my littlest brother Eric, 13, and myself. He gets bigger and bigger everytime I see him. Natural I suppose.

Oh, and Happy Mothers Day to my mom and all the other Mom's out there!

Leavin' on a jet plane...

Packing is not easy. Which suitcase do I take? Will it match my outfit? And will I have enough?
I leave tomorrow morning for IA to my sisters wedding. So there will be all kinds of interesting posts and pictures. I can't wait to see my mom!
