Testing, Testing...

I love my calling at church. I have been a member of the Mid-Singles program from the first day our stake was asked to start the program. I was a little nervous at first but these people are amazing! I am so blessed to work with them.

This week as a committee we went to SLC and went to the Mormon Channel radio headquarters. We all had the chance to record our testimonies about the savior, the atonement and how the gospel has affected our lives. As each member spoke I was touched at how lucky I was to share in this amazing experience with them. The Mormon Channel can be found online, as an iPhone app or as a satellite radio station that is broadcast all over the world. I listened as these men and women spoke about their savior and their great love for him. How blessed I am to be able to share in those testimonies and so can you! You can hear from us by tuning in and every few minutes a testimony is shared and you will find my dear friends sharing with you. Let me know if you hear me.

I couldn't take pictures in the studio but I managed to get a few while some were recording. It was a great evening and we enjoyed some amazing pizza at this Sicilian place downtown afterward. We know how to have fun.

Turkey Run

I started my Thanksgiving off with a Turkey Run. I ran most of the three mile course I did (could do up to five, but I pushed too hard training last Saturday and my old fracture is giving me some pain) and it was wonderful. It was so beautiful this morning and it makes it hard not to be thankful for the amazing blessings in my life!
Blessing number 1, living in beautiful Utah. This was at the end of the run and I just struck me how lucky I was to be so blessed to be surrounded by such beautiful scenery all the time. I love seeing the mountains in the background of everything and I love crisp cool air in the mornings.
I am so blessed to be blessed with amazing friends who have become my family. Being so far from my own family I have been so blessed to have amazing people come into my life. In no particular order the ones I feel most grateful for this year are: Logan, Chantal, Melinda, Tricia, Kari and Peter. There are so many more but it is this small set who have truly been such blessings to me this year by being listening ears, shoulders to cry on, late night texts about Taylor Lautner or Hugh Jackman, temple buddies, encouraging messages or telling me that no matter what others say or act like, that I am a beautiful and sweet person.
I am grateful for the gym and my trainer. You have to bored of this by now but the changes in my life have been staggering and a whole new world has opened up to me because of it. 6 days a week I am at the gym working out and I love the person I have become because of that one little fact.
I am so blessed, to know of my worth. I can move mountains, soothe troubled souls, lend a shoulder when needed and I can build and strengthen those around me. How blessed I am!
I am most grateful for the love of my Heavenly Father who has taught me that as long as I do what I know to be right, things will work out. Every time. It may not be in a week, a month or even a year, but in the end it will.
Those are just a few of the things I am thankful for today. Now that that is out of the way, on the the last bit of Black Friday planning...

Last Night

Last night I had the chance to head down to South Jordan and attend the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House. How wonderful. It is crazy, you can stand on the lawn in front and see three other temples! What an amazing time we live in guys.

I got to share it with a bunch of great friends. Sana, who is a blast was so fun to have sitting in front of me on the bus. I got to share my bus ride there and back with Peter. Showing off his big chin, this picture makes me laugh. We talked about a ton of stuff on the bus including a good deal of time speaking in spanish to each other. I enjoyed my dreams in spanish last night. Peter makes me laugh so I had a blast.

Excuse my messy hair, there was just enough wind to make it crazy.

One of the most wonderful moments of last night was that one of the adult that came with us last night pulled me aside on the temple grounds. He said that he was chatting with a guy the other day and he told him that he thought I was a wonderful, enthusiastic, loving person and that the person who dated and married me would be the luckiest guy. I was a little shocked but also taken aback. How sweet. To hear that on the temple grounds was such a blessing. It was nice to know that someone out there thought so highly of me.

See, temples bring amazing blessings. I am blessed.
